Celebrate Singapore’s 60th National Day with these Video Ideas
This 2025, Singapore marks 60 years of independence, allowing us to look back on how far we have come, share our memories and express our love for our nation. As Singapore sets its sights on a refreshed and forward-looking future, there is no better time for you to share how you are part of this journey. One way you can celebrate and share is through videos! Here are five video ideas you can explore this National Day.
Commemorating your journey
Tell the story of your company/brand through the lens of time. Revisit the beginning and show how your business has grown alongside Singapore. Highlight the key turning points, the challenges overcome, and the proudest milestones. You can bring these moments to life through a narrative or animated short film, a heartfelt documentary, or even a fun and candid collaboration with long-serving employees. This not only honours your legacy but also invites your audience to connect with your roots in a more meaningful and personal way.
Share Your Story, Shape Our Memorial is a profile series where the main goal is to commemorate the legacy of our founding leaders. In this series, there are inspiring conversations with various Singaporeans sharing their insights through stories that speak about their contributions to Singapore’s nation-building story as well as interesting artifacts during the golden days.
A peak into the future
SG60 is not only a celebration of the past. It is a chance to imagine what kind of Singapore we want to help build. This is the perfect moment to share your company’s future goals and ideas. Whether you are working on green initiatives, new technologies, or plans to expand your role in the community, invite your audience to be part of the next chapter. You can do this through hopeful narratives, animated concepts, or the voices of young team members with bold visions.
For Singapore’s 59th birthday, we partnered with Young NTUC to create a video titled Celebrating SG Youth 2024. The video spotlighted inspiring youth profiles, each showing how young Singaporeans are using their talents, dreams, and passions to make a difference in the community. Aligned with Young NTUC’s campaign message, Every Youth Matters, the video reflected a future where young voices are not only heard but empowered to lead, shape, and inspire the next chapter of Singapore’s story.
Showcase your social campaigns
Real change often happens quietly, in everyday acts of care and responsibility. Use videos to highlight the work your company is doing in the community. Whether you are supporting education, environmental causes, or neighbourhood projects, let the stories speak for themselves. Interview the people whose lives have been touched. Show the effort behind the scenes. These videos cover more than your company’s work, but about what it means to be a part of Singapore’s shared future.
We captured the vibrant energy of the Gateway Arts Festival, a celebration filled with engaging activities that promote inclusivity across generations. Through event highlights and thoughtful reflections from participants, volunteers, and partners, the video showcases how the festival has contributed to a more connected and expressive arts community in Singapore.
Celebrating the People Behind the Brand
Every company is built by people. This is a chance to celebrate them. Create memories with your team, from the longest-serving employees to the newest hires through a fun, educational video. Share their stories, their voices, and their memories of working with you. Feature moments of kindness, personal achievements, and the daily routines that keep things running. By showing the human side of your brand, you invite others to see themselves in your journey too!
In Parallel is a short narrative film crafted for the Singapore Police Force, spotlighting the people who volunteer to help keep our neighbourhood safe and showcasing how they make a difference in our community towards a brighter future.
This ties in with a profile series titled: Untold Stories, that was also crafted to begin the SPF Volunteer Recruitment Drive 2021. By producing a profile series of the Volunteer Special Constabulary (VSC) (Community) officers, it has provided a platform for the officers to share their motivations behind signing up as SPF volunteers. This has also allowed for a more in-depth understanding of their role and the challenges and difficulties they faced within their job.
Telling Stories that Matter
Sometimes the most powerful videos are not about products or services at all. They are about the ideas and emotions that bring people together. Use short films or personal interviews to tell stories that reflect the hopes, values, and struggles of real people in Singapore. These might include a story of courage in the face of change, or a belief that is deeply rooted in your company.
Singapore Tote Board 2023 Annual Report, is a heartfelt production that shines a light on the real-life stories of individuals and communities whose lives have been touched by Tote Board’s support. Commissioned to go beyond facts and figures, the video captures meaningful conversations and emotional moments, offering an honest look into how Tote Board’s funding has empowered people, strengthened communities, and inspired positive change across Singapore.
